"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground," Genesis 2:5.I went to an astronomy lecture last night. The speaker, Bruce Margon, talked about the history of the Hubble Space Telescope. Very fascinating topic. Excellent speaker. Mind-blowing pictures. You can't actually believe that these are real images and not a painting from someone's imagination. (Or maybe they are : )
The science folks tell us that stellar nurseries, like the Trifid Nebula, collect dust and over time, compact and condense into stars and planets. Jupiter, a gas giant, could be considered a baby star gone wrong. The earth is a planet that made it.
Now whether you're a creationist who believes in a young earth, or a science type who believes in 14.8 billion years of evolution, I think we can agree that we were made from the same dust.
