How many times have we upset God's plans by helping Him? How many years have we added to answered prayers because I didn't wait for God to do what we're asking of Him? Because we don't see from the heavenly perspective, we think that we have run out of time so we have to do something. Thankfully, God does amazing things even through our blunders. Would the Egyptians have had to endure the plagues if God had been allowed to complete His original plan with Moses? Who knows? Maybe not, but we have to remember that our zealousness effects other people.
After Jesus went back to be with His Father in heaven, the disciples wanted to replace Judas, so they cast lots for a man named Matthias, and Matthias was never heard of in the scriptures again. I believe that is because the man God wanted to be the twelfth apostle was Paul. The disciples jumped the gun, but God moved through Paul anyway.
I know that God is aware of our futures and our decisions, but He has a perfect plan for each of us. How awesome it would be if we allowed Him to work it in our lives without our help.
