So, ok, you know where I'm going with this, but do you believe it? When you look in a mirror, can you look past yourself? If you don't believe that you reflect Jesus, no one else will either. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you. The same one, not a stripped-down economy version. When God looks at you He sees a family resemblance. Stop and think about Jesus for a minute. If you could be a fly on the wall and watch Him in action, what would that look like? Do you think He would be quiet, withdrawn, afraid to speak-up? Do you think He wondered if God was mad at Him all the time? Probably not. But, what would He be like? Right now the Holy Spirit is putting a picture in your mind, a picture of Jesus that you need to see. He is showing you a trait that He wants to build up in you. Check it out. It may not be comfortable. It could be very different for you, but that's how we grow. The pot can't become the right shape without some changes to the clay.
Pray about it and ask God to let you see Jesus when you look in the mirror. He does. And the more you allow the Holy Spirit to change you, the more the family resemblance will shine.
