The Power of Unison

I went to see Happy Feet last night. Great movie. I'm so impressed with animation today, just stunning. (By the way, this image is not from the movie!) The movie took a few pot shots at old school religious thought that fears embracing the new and unknown, and other shots at anti-environmentalists. Fortunately, the "moral" was weak and didn't interfere with the visual beauty and sound of the experience. And I'm talking experience. The vocals and music were really great.

I left the theater thinking about how awesome it is to watch a huge group act and move in unison, in this case singing and dancing. There's almost a physical impact that hits you when you see precision movement on a massive scale. I love it. Made me think of soliders marching, big dance teams, stadiums of people holding up colored cards. I'm sure there are other great examples that I can't think of a the moment.

When people agree together, powerful things can happen, good and bad. If the effective, fervent prayer of a believer can do a lot, just think of what an entire town of people agreeing in effective, fervent prayer could do. Just think of the great number of people connected over the Internet and agreeing together in prayer, what would that do? Who could stop that kind of force? Nothing in this world.

Stop for a second and think about the sound of a marching army. Think about the sound of their boots hitting the ground as they pass by right in front of you. Not a small army, a BIG one with thousands and thousands of boots. That's a big sound. Now stop and pray that we will see things on earth as they are in heaven. You just joined the army and added your steps to the sound of marching. If we agree together, we will see change and open the doors for God to do whatever He wants. Makes me want to sing and dance just thinking about it.
