New Year, New Dreams

It's a new year. Time to think about stuff. Yes, you should make your list to eat better, excerise more, clean the garage, but those are things that you can do. Stop and think about what you want God to do.

We are in a time now where God is saying, "If you can dream it, I can do it." How awesome is that! A new year means time to make a fresh start. Forget the past. Forget the mistakes. What do you want now? This is serious. You have the opportunity for God to make your dreams come true. What are they? Go take a walk or find that place where you can be quiet and think about what your ideal life would be like. Where would you live? Where would you work? Who would you be with?

What does it feel like when you think of those things? When I think of my dreams, I feel peace. I know that God put them in my heart because it feels so good and I know that they are a reality to Him.

I'm not sure that we will ever fully appreciate how much God loves us. He really loves us. He is a kind Father who dotes on His children and wants to bless them. We just have to ask, to share our dreams with Him. What have we got to loose? How much could we gain? And it's not bad. There's an unscriptural attitude that says that asking things for yourself is selfish or wrong. God says in Psalms 20:4, "May He grant you according to your heart's desire and fulfill all your purpose." He wants to make your dreams come true. I know you've got them, we all do. Lay them before the Lord and wait to see what happens. A lot depends on what you believe.

I have to confess that this wasn't my message. The kernel was from Pastor Scott on Sunday. I just ran with it.
