I read today that the Father of Radio had to deal with his friends who had him committed into a mental hospital because they didn't understand his vision, or his abilities. I had never heard this, so I Googled Marconi to see if it was true. I didn't find corroborating stories. Doesn't mean that it isn't true. It just may mean that it's a little known fact.It could be true. Anyone who thinks outside of the box is also going to be outside the norm. Other people will listen to all that fantastic stuff and think, "Ok, this guy has lost it." If it doesn't fit with what we personally know, then it must be crazy stuff.
I believe that God has given people impossible, crazy ideas for things that just don't seem right. Stuff that we can barely understand, let alone develop. Who knew that you could transmit sound over air waves? Who knew that you could send a man to walk on the moon? That's crazy talk to someone who thought that a train going at thirty miles an hour would kill anyone riding it. There's just so much that we don't get. But I really believe that there are those out there with the seeds of discovery that just sound too, too crazy to believe. Stuff that would revolutionize the world. But it takes vision and courage to even begin thinking about those things. How do you get funding for the incurably wacky?
But I also believe that if God gives the idea, He also will provide the means. Perhaps you have vision. Maybe you're part of the story and what you do will be passed on to someone else who will take it to the next level. Who knows? It won't get anywhere without someone putting effort out there.
I want to see what it is!! I want to see the amazing things that God has for us. We need everyone onboard to work toward the destiny that is ours. Don't be shy, be crazy!
