When I drove home the other day and parked my car, I noticed a bird standing in a puddle of water in the middle of the driveway of my apartment complex. I couldn't tell what kind of bird it was at first so I walked very slowly toward it. It was hawk, a small one. He didn't seem afraid of me at all. In fact, I got about 20 feet away from it and it just fluffed up and pooped. It didn't fly off until I took a few more steps. That was strange. Something of the natural world acting un-unaturally says something and I needed to pay attention. I tried but didn't fully understand what the message was, except that this bird of war was unafraid of me. I asked my highly prophetic sister what she thought of it. She said that hawks are in the eagle family, a very strong prophetic symbol. The water represents the Holy Spirit. It was unafraid of a natural enemy. Very exciting. She told me to press in and ask the Holy Spirit for more definition.
He led me back to all the declarations of faith that I've been making recently, actually speaking them out loud, a lot. I've been excercising my prophetic muscles with great expectation. Declaring to God those things that He has promised stirs up the atmosphere. Even the natural world is effected by it. Did God send the hawk to show me a sign, or was it drawn there? Either way, the message to me was, "You go girl! You're on the right track. Keep it up."
It was a small hawk and not a huge eagle because of where I'm at with my journey, but pretty soon, huge eagles are going to be camping out on my front lawn!
