Fear Not, Silly One!

I've decided to stop being afraid of things. The Bible actually says to fear not. It's not a suggestion. It's a command. And yet we fear all the time. I know I do. I mean I did. Only, we call it stress. Stress is just a politically correct way of saying fear. We "stress" over all kinds of things.

I've been known to stress about stuff completely out of my control, like worrying would change the outcome one way or the other. I even used to stress about stuff that I could control, just in case something I didn't know about happened. What a lot of useless energy. Could be why I always had tight muscles in my neck and shoulders.

I resolve to stop stressing, fearing, about anything. I resolve to have peace and trust God to help me in everything that I do. He can multiply food when there doesn't seem to be enough. He can make the weather change to protect lives. He can heal and save. He really does care about everything that I do and has a way to make it all work.

There's a lot of peace in knowing that. I love it. How amazing to live without fear, worry, or stress. It's the only way to live really.
