Atomic Faith

I got an interesting picture of faith recently. Everyone is given a measure, or a certain amount, of faith. Sort of like a starter kit. It looks like an atom with electrons flying around a center nucleus. As our faith grows, the orbit of the electrons extend out further and further. If the orbit is big enough to encompass the thing or the person that we are praying for, then the answering our prayer is easy because we have covered it with our faith. As our faith becomes stronger and stronger, it becomes almost like a magnetic field. We effect the atmosphere as we walk around. I think of that when I read about Peter's shadow healing people as he walked by. The electrons in your faith orbit collide with the enemy's plans and blow them to pieces. Because you have your faith field strong and extended, you don't have to "work" at prayer. The work is done by your strong belief that God is who He says He is. All you have to do is walk out what you know you're supposed to do. Your faith field goes before you to eliminate any opposition as you go.

It's an interesting picture and helps me to see how I can stretch out and be the effective child of the Kingdom that I'm called to be. I've just seen enough science fiction shows to want a cool sound for my force field.
