Not That Kind of Salt

Growth never comes easy. Neither does getting from here to there. We think that we've got it planned out, we know what to expect, and how we're going to do it. Then boom! The bottom falls out and we're left wondering what hit us. The thing is, the bottom falling out is part of getting to where we need to go. If getting there requires us to depend on God, then He will make sure that we really are depending on Him. So what if the plan looks impossible now. Did God promise or not? If the answer is yes, then keep looking to Him no matter what.

Lot's wife looked back. She didn't understand what was happening. She didn't see the vision in front of her. All she saw was the destruction behind her. She never got to where she was meant to be.

You are called to be the salt of the earth. When you follow God, through thick and thin, you will effect the culture around you. If you look back, your ministry is useless. What you stand for means nothing because there is no faith to it. Don't look back. Keep your eyes on the One who calls your forward. The snare in the road is easier to get through than you think. And when you trust God through all the dips along the way, others can feel it, even if they don't understand what just happened. You're salt. You make things taste better and people like that. Looking back makes you the wrong kind of salt.
