Dr. Masaru Emoto is a Japanese scientist who studies water. He discovered that water has special properties that almost can't be believed. Water exposed to specific feelings or even emotional words will create vastly different crystal formations. Crystals exposed to acid rock look almost shattered. Classical music creates beautiful snowflake shapes. It' pretty wild.
Now, what do we know about the make-up of the human body? Lots of water, like 90%, or something like that. We've heard for years that "you are what you eat." Now it appears that "you are what you think", literally.
Phil. 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report. If there be any virtue and if there is anything praise-worthy, think [or meditate] on these things." (NKJV)
Starts to make sense now, doesn't it? What if we actually did that? And speaking those positive things out loud seems to reinforce the message. I have begun my personal campaign of self improvement. The Proverbs are all about Wisdom and how Wisdom will save your life from stupidity. I tell myself from time to time that I am a woman of great wisdom. I may not actually be that at the moment, but I will be.
Also goes along with the fruits of the Spirit. As a Christian, all the gifts of the Spirit have been given. I haven't done well when it comes to living my life in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, or self-control. But what if I started meditating on these things? It could change my life - physically and spiritually. I plan to do that. I think that I will change the course of my future just by thinking good thoughts.
Isn't that the message of the gospel anyway? Loving God foremost and treating each other with kindness? The thing is, we have all the tools at our disposal to be the people that God intended us to be. He provided the means to do it. It's our responsibility to act. No one to blame for our lives but ourselves.
I AM a woman of wisdom and kindness - and I will continue to become so, and more.
